Practice, practice, practice. Good photographers are always hustling people for personal side projects as we work to cultivate our creativity and refine our craft. Sharpening the saw, to quote Stephen Covey.
And I’m no different. I'm always on the lookout for people willing to collaborate with me in front of my camera. Whether you’re an aspiring model looking to pad your portfolio, someone who likes to experiment visually, have some photography project that you’d like to pursue, or just like having your portrait taken, contact me. Let's sit down and discuss your vision.
My own current project themes include:
Spaces and places — Portraits of unique people and their unique spaces where they live, work, create, play or whatever.
Work — People, their skills, and how they help make and keep our society and its infrastructure functioning. Know someone with a unique job or skill? I'd love to hear about them.
Veterans — Vets have some great sea stories, and often the memorabilia to go with them. As a veteran myself, I’m always looking for a good sea story and the images, past and present, that go with them.
Distinguished elders — Let’s face it, life's a bitch for everyone and when someone makes it to old age their life is often carved into the face and reflected deeply in their eyes. Our senior citizens have blazed a trail for us, and I’m personally intrigued by the life stories. I value trust in me to honor them and their loved ones with superlative portraits.
If you’d like to collaborate, or know someone who may be an interesting subject, please take a few minutes to complete the attached e-form. It helps me to understand and organize our session, find locations if necessary, and coordinate a mutually agreeable time to make the photo session a reality.
I’m not a major corporate conglomerate (or even a minor one for that matter) — I'm a one man show, so your information is safe with me. I won’t be sharing it with anyone.
